y-5=22/7(x-8)

how do i put these to into either point sploe form, standard form, or y=mx+b ?

Hello!
I hope i will be able to help you a bit.
If we start to simplify the equation given:
y-5=\frac{22}{7}(x-8)
y-5=\frac{22}{7}x-\frac{176}{7}
If we are writing it in y=mx+b form we need to do one more thing - we want to get y by itself.
y-5+5=\frac{22}{7}x-\frac{176}{7}+5
y=\frac{22}{7}x-\frac{211}{7}  which is our y?mx+b form.
If you need more information about this form - check this out:
http://www.mathplanet.com/education/algebra-1/formulating-linear-equations/writing-linear-equations-using-the-slope-intercept-form
The point slope form is looking like this:
y-y_{1}=m(x-x_{1})
where y1 and x1 are your coordinates and m is your slope...
I think that you are able to find that answer by your self if you check your information: coordinates and slope :)
Good Luck! Smile
