suppose you are given a line described by the equation y=50-4x and you are told that the x value has increased by 10 units at every y value. What is the equation for the new line

hi

tha value of x has incresed by 10 at every y....

means the line has translated on positive x direction by 10 units....

hence just write (x-10) in place of x....

that's all....

priviously y=50-4x

now y=50-4(x-10)

y=90-4x
