Introducing Algebra

Algebra uses letters called variables to represent unknown numbers in mathematical expressions and equations. This chapter introduces the basic tools you need before solving more advanced problems: the correct order of operations, how to evaluate expressions, how to identify number properties, and how to solve simple equations and inequalities using variables.
